Nobelity Returns to the Paramount Theater

AMD Presents the new must see global awareness documentary by local writer and filmmaker

AUSTIN- June 27- Back by popular demand, Nobelity, the feature documentary from Austin writer and filmmaker Turk Pipkin, returns to the Paramount Theater after winning worldwide recognition.  AMD is proud to sponsor the film to local audiences at a special screening on Tuesday, June 27.

Nobelity is Turk's personal look at the world's most pressing problems through the eyes of Nobel laureates ranging from Austin's distinguished physics laureate, Steven Weinberg, to notable Peace Prize laureates such as Wangari Maathai, Sir Joseph Rotblat, and Desomond Tutu.  Filmed across the U.S. and Europe and in India and Africa, Nobelity is an eye-opening and inspiring film that has lead to Turk and his producer and wife Christy founding of The Nobelity Project.

Response to the film at its Paramount World Premier during the SXSW Film Festival, and at the second sold out screening in April has created a great demand for another opportunity to see the film on the big screen in High Definition.  Presented by AMD, this special evening benefits the non-profit work of two local based initiatives working globally, The Nobelity Project and the Miracle Foundation.

About The Nobelity Project:  a non-profit dedicated to a better world for children everywhere.  The Nobelity Project is building an educational website at www.nobelity.org, and is engaged in specific projects such as a water system soon to be installed at a primary school in Kenya, which was one of Turk's many film locations during Nobelity.

About The Miracle Foundation:  a non-profit dedicated to empowering the orphans of the world to reach their full potential- one child at a time.  Formed in 2000, The Miracle Foundation is providing a livable solution for the forgotten children through "ideal" orphanages.  To learn more about the initiatives implemented, differences being realized or how you might get involved, visit www.miraclefoundation.org.

About AMD's 50 x 15 Initiative:  a bold and far reaching effort to develop new technology and solution that will help enable affordable Internet access and computing capability for 50 percent of the world's population by the year 2015.  With the global population estimated to reach 7.2 billion in 2015, there is a tremendous potential for 50 x 15 to bring billions of people into the digital age.  For more information visit http://www.50x15.com
