Indian Visas
In order to obtain an Indian Visa, you first must have a valid passport. The Visa application process requires a valid passport number to complete. The Miracle Foundation recomends beginning the Visa application process at least six weeks before your trip.
If you are outside of the US, you still need a valid passport and Visa to travel to India. Please refer to the Indian Consulate in your home country to obtain a Visa for travel.
Obtaining your Visa
You will need a standard multi-entry tourist visa to get into India. You must arrive in India within six months of the date your Visa was issued.
Effective October 1st, 2007, all Visa requests are handled through outsourcing. There are two services you can use:
1) We recommend you use VisaExpress.net, a full service Visa processing center. This service can also assist with expediting Visa applications (Rush services). See Visa Fees for Visa Express.net.
2) The official processing center of the Indian Consulate is Travisa, who also processes Indian Visas.
If you're filling out a Visa application for the first time, there are lots of questions that you're probably unfamiliar with. Read below for help completing your application.
