There are a staggering number of children living in orphanages throughout the world. Most of them live in deplorable conditions, where their most basic needs are not met. The children are often hungry, scared, confused and lonely. It’s time we let these children—and their caregivers—know that they matter. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in their lives. We can empower them all to reach their full potential.
Our founder, Caroline Boudreaux, first witnessed the plight of orphaned children in May 2000, on her first visit to India. There she discovered that many orphanages are overcrowded and dilapidated, some rife with corruption, neglect and abuse. Even when managed by people with good intentions, orphanages often lack the necessary funds, resources and knowledge to properly provide for the children in their care. With such appalling living conditions and without parents to nurture and love them, the children suffer. They survive on minimal food, no healthcare, substandard education and no emotional support. Most of them “age out” without the necessary skills or resources to survive on their own, having no foundation to grow into self-sustaining adults.

The Miracle Foundation transforms orphanages and saves orphans. Our proven approach is called The NEST Method and through it, we effectively and efficiently NURTURE and EMPOWER children and their caregivers, STRENGTHEN operational processes and systems, and ultimately, TRANSFORM institutional orphanages into nurturing homes.
Drawing on knowledge gained from more than ten years of experience working with orphanages, our phased approach enables us to identify and evaluate orphanages that share our philosophy and are striving to properly care for the children they support, but are unable to meet these standards due to insufficient resources.
The rights of the child are at the heart of everything we do. Every single child on earth is born with rights, and our job is to ensure that the children we serve have the opportunity to realize them.
