Who We Are
Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. In fact it's the only thing that ever did.Margaret Mead (1902–78); American cultural anthropologist
More Than Helping Orphans, We are Nurturing and Empowering Children for Life
The Miracle Foundation is an Austin, TX-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping orphans realize their full potential. Our charity is unique in that our interventions are measurable, scalable, guard against corruption and focus on the needs of the whole child. We literally turn institutional orphanages into stable, loving, nurturing homes where children can thrive, and transforming their lives.
The Miracle Foundation began in 2000, when Caroline Boudreaux set off on a trip around the world and found herself at an orphanage in a remote village of India. She was horrified by the conditions in which the children lived, and also captivated by their strength, beautiful smiles and incredible, untapped potential. Read her story here.
Caroline and her team committed themselves to developing a repeatable method to help as many orphan children as possible to realize their potential, and experience a childhood. Caroline created The Miracle Foundation Rights of the Child charter which focuses specifically on the rights of orphan children.
These rights are our guidepost and are at the heart of everything we do. They serve as the foundation for the standards and guidelines of care that The Miracle Foundation provides to the children and orphanages we serve.
With headquarters in Austin, Texas, and Delhi, India, The Miracle Foundation is governed by a prestigious international board of directors and operates as a fully licensed 501(c)(3) in the U.S.A. and a Section 25 in India.
