Miracle Foundation India
The Miracle Foundation is an established and trusted multinational non-governmental organization (NGO) that empowers orphans and orphanages to reach their full potential. In India, The Miracle Foundation operates as a fully licensed, Section 25 organization known as Miracle Foundation India. Based in Delhi, Miracle Foundation India is governed by a prestigious Board of Directors and an Executive Director with over 25 years experience in the Indian social development sector.
In 2000, while visiting a children’s home in a remote village in eastern India, Caroline Boudreaux was inspired to dedicate her life to empowering orphaned children. Having been brought face-to-face with the heart-wrenching reality of the lives of children without parents, she committed herself to doing everything possible to ensure that orphaned children have the opportunity to grow up with the love and care they deserve.
Today, with more than ten years experience working with children’s homes throughout rural India, The Miracle Foundation has gained deep insight and knowledge regarding best practices for operating children’s homes and improving childcare. We incorporated this knowledge into The NEST Method℠, a structured approach that:
- NURTURES and EMPOWERS children and their caregivers
- STRENGTHENS operational processes and systems, and
- TRANSFORMS institutions into loving homes where children thrive.
Miracle Foundation India was established to implement The NEST Method℠ on the ground in India.
Through a mutually agreed upon project/funding plan, our team in India guides each children’s home through the process. The team works hand in hand with the staff of the children’s home to improve the standard of living, educational opportunities, and care provided to the children. They work together to instill best practices of governance and financial responsibility within the operations of each home. They work with regional service providers to create sustainable linkages for the children’s homes, such as regional immunization and education departments, as well as other NGOs that provide specialized services. By closely mentoring the staff and monitoring quantifiable metrics, our team in India ensures that every children’s home that advances through NEST is committed to meeting the high standards of The Miracle Foundation, the 1989 United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Government of India Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2000 (amended in 2010).
The results are measurable and life changing. The NEST Method℠ ensures that every children’s home is operating with the highest of standards and that the children are thriving. Learn more about How it Works and What We Provide.
