
Subroto is a passionate development professional with 15 years of hands-on experience of different development issues i.e. public health, disaster management, education, protection, and child rights, and has been working with children and youth in difficult circumstances such as street children, for the rights of children of sex workers, children affected by Tsunami, children confit with low, children infected and affected with HIV/AIDS and Orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). He leads Miracle Foundation India’s program across six states, namely Bihar, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tripura, including UNICEF India-supported interventions. He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.
Calling for social development has taken him from his birthplace of Varanasi to the islands of the Andaman, the historical state of Uttar Pradesh, the land of monasteries – Bihar, Maharashtra, and finally to the capital of India – New Delhi.
