Data Analyst
Summary
The Data Analyst will analyze large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help improve our products. This position should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. Your goal will be to help our organization analyze trends to make better decisions. This is a part-time position.
Essential Functions
- Develop data-driven business insights and narratives to identify opportunities, generate new hypotheses, and define product strategies through a deep understanding of the data, our customers, and our business
- Design and analyze experiments to to measure the impact of new product features and drive decision-making
- Define key metrics mapping product performance to business success
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure and improve data access and reliability
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Education and Experience
- Bachelors in empirical or quantitative field
- 2+ years industry experience using data analytics in a business strategy role
Required Abilities and Skills
- Advanced SQL expertise
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to understand and prioritize business goals and strategies
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Prior industry experience in consumer-facing product analytics
- Experience in a scripting language for analysis (Python, R, etc)
- Experience with experimental design
- Strong storytelling to distill interesting and useful insights into a compelling, concise data story
- Passionate self-starter with a strong work ethic
UX Product Designer
Summary
We are looking for a UX Product Designer to join a cross-functional team to create products that will change the lives of millions of vulnerable children around the world. This position plays an integral role in the performance and operation of a high-functioning product team. This role is expected to partner with the Product Manager, UX Researcher and Engineers from start to finish, from initial research and understanding of user problems, through scoping and the creation of user journeys, all the way to the finished product. This is a 6 month full-time contract-to-hire position working a hybrid/remote schedule in Austin, TX.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders—including the researcher, product leader, and engineers —on complex problems
- Be the voice of the user, and explore multiple ideas while also knowing when to bring the work to an executable deliverable
- Deliver innovative solutions which significantly improve user experience across products for your team
- Independently lead all aspects of the design process from conception to completion
- Receive design feedback with professionalism and patience, and give clear and usable design feedback to design peers
- Articulate the value of design as well as the reasons for your design decisions clearly, in non-designer-speak, to Product and Engineering teammates as well as other important stakeholders
- Actively contribute to the evolution and strengthening of our design system, including crafting components, auditing libraries, and ensuring quality in application of the system
- Uphold a high standard for design excellence, and contribute to raising the bar for design at the organization
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s Degree or certificate in Design, Fine Art, Architecture, or Psychology/Human-Computer Interaction
- 5+ years working in the design industry, including UX or product design experience
- 3+ years of working in a product-led organization
- A portfolio showcasing a strong design point of view and depth of experience, including user-centered design methodologies, interaction flows, prototyping, high-fidelity screens, and shipped products

- A solid foundation in visual design including typography, layout and component design

- Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation skills
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience working in Figma or similar collaborative interface design tool
- Strong Microsoft Office & Google Workspace skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
