Ensuring Children Grow Up In a Safe, Stable Home

The Problem

There are nearly 400,000 children in the US Foster Care System–all of them dreaming of a family. On average, these children are moved seven times after they are removed from their families. This instability can have a detrimental effect on their well-being. The foster care system faces a high turnover rate among foster families and case managers. Within the first year, 60% of foster families quit, which can make it even more difficult for children to find a stable and supportive home. Additionally, the case manager turnover rate is 40%, which can further compound the challenges children face in the foster care system face.

Efforts are being made to reform foster care systems, support families before separation, and reunite families where preventable separation has occurred. We all know kids everywhere deserve better. The movement has begun, and Miracle Foundation is on the front line.

Our Solution

The word “every” is a powerful part of our vision. “A family for every child” means we must focus both around the world and here at home, finding solutions for whatever challenges children face. How do we do it? With love and care, one child at a time.

Children want to grow up in a family, and each of them have the right to a safe, stable, and permanent home. In the United States, Miracle Foundation is working tirelessly to help stabilize children in families within the foster system and also working to prevent at-risk children from ever entering the system in the first place.

Separation should be the last resort. Our work always strives to lift families up and keep them together.
